Une délégation du Bureau de Mise à Niveau des entreprises du Cameroun (BMN) conduite par son Directeur, Mme Marie Rose Chantal ELOMBAT MBEDEY, a séjourné au siège du Fonds Africain de Garantie et de Coopération Economique (FAGACE) à Cotonou (Bénin) du 04 au 06 Octobre 2021. Cette mission s’est inscrite dans le cadre d’une part, de la mise en place d’un cadre de collaboration entre le BMN et le FAGACE et, d’autre part, du renforcement du partenariat entre les deux institutions.

Au terme de sa mission au FAGACE et en présence du Directeur Général du Fonds, M. Ngueto T. YAMBAYE, la Délégation a donné un point de presse au siège du FAGACE, le mercredi 06 Octobre 2021. Elle a notamment fait le bilan de son séjour au FAGACE et présenté la pertinence des échanges d’expérience.

Durant son séjour au Bénin qui s’étendra d’ailleurs jusqu’au 11 octobre 2021, la Délégation a rencontré le Directeur Général du Bureau de Restructuration et de Mise à Niveau des Entreprises du Bénin (BRMN) et envisage de participer à d’autres rencontres avec des institutions béninoises dans le domaine de la Garantie, du marché des valeurs mobilières etc. La visite de plusieurs entreprises ayant bénéficié de l’appui du BRMN est également prévue pendant ce séjour.

Plusieurs pistes de coopération ont été aussi explorées avec le FAGACE notamment (i) l’appui de l’Institut du FAGACE dans la formation et le renforcement des capacités en matière de Garanties et d’études socioéconomiques, (ii) l’hébergement d’un Bureau d’Information et de Liaison au sein du BMN, (iii) la mise en œuvre d’une synergie triangulaire entre le FAGACE le BMN et la Banque Camerounaise des PME (BCPME) au travers de la mobilisation d’une ligne de financement à l’intention des entreprises labellisées au Certificat FAGACE-BMN.

A l’issue de la rencontre avec le FAGACE, il a été convenu qu’un mémorandum de mise en œuvre de l’Accord de partenariat soit élaboré pour opérationnaliser les différentes activités à réaliser et un dispositif de reporting soit institué entre les deux parties.

The Headquarters of the African Guarantee and Economic Cooperation Fund (FAGACE) in Cotonou (Benin) has hosted from 04 to 06 October 2021, a mission of the Cameroon Enterprise Upgrade Office (BMN) led by its Director, Mrs. Marie Rose Chantal ELOMBAT MBEDEY. The first purpose of this mission is the establishment of a partnership framework between BMN and FAGACE, and on the other hand the strengthening of the partnership between the two The first purpose of this mission is to renew the partnership framework between BMN and FAGACE

At the end of its mission, a press briefing has been giving by BMN’s delegation at FAGACE headquarters in the presence of the Fund Managing Director Mr YAMBAYE on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021.  It notably summarizes their stay at FAGACE and the relevance of experience exchanges.

During its stay in Benin, which will extend until October 11, 2021, the Delegation met the Managing Director of Enterprises Restructuring and Upgrading Office in Benin (BRMN) and plans to participate in other meetings with Beninese institutions working in Guarantee’s field, securities market etc. it has also been planned during this stay, the visit of several companies that have benefited from BRMN support.

Several types of cooperation were also explored with FAGACE, in particular (i) the support of FAGACE Institute in training and capacity building in terms of guarantees and socioeconomic studies, (ii) accommodation of an Information and Liaison Office within the BMN, (iii) the implementation of a triangular synergy between FAGACE, BMN and the Cameroonian SME Bank (BCPME) through the mobilization of a financing line for companies labelled with the FAGACE-BMN Certificate.

It was agreed at the end of the meeting between the two Institutions, that an implementation memorandum of the Partnership Agreement be drawn up to operationalize the various activities to be carried out and a reporting mechanism be established between both parties.
